10 April, 2025, London, UK: Boku, the global network for localised payment solutions, has promoted Leila Kassner to Chief Operating Officer and added her to the senior leadership team. As COO, Leila is set to further support Boku’s focus on strengthening global operating efficiency, streamlining decision-making across the business, and continuing to deliver results for Boku’s expanding global customer base.

Leila joined Boku in 2014, working in key roles across global partnerships and leading the global partnerships team who manage Boku’s portfolio of global tech giants including Meta, Microsoft, Amazon and Netflix. With this, Leila is bringing a deep knowledge of the business and relationships across all teams. Leila’s role will be responsible for driving operational resilience and efficiency across Boku, enabling faster, more seamless decision-making and reinforcing the company’s reputation for high-quality, innovative payments solutions.

The appointment follows a strong set of financial results last month, with Boku reporting 20% organic growth in total group revenues to $99.3 million, processing $12.4B in transactions and connecting 87.1M+ active users to merchants globally.

Stuart Neal, CEO at Boku says: “After announcing our excellent financial results for 2024 last month, we’re looking to continue our upwards momentum. Leila’s promotion is a great example of how Boku invests in and develops talent from within, a home-grown COO with over a decade of Boku knowledge behind her. I’m excited to see what she can achieve as our new Chief Operating Officer. Leila is a leader who embodies our values and consistently delivers for our customers- and that's going to be more important than ever as we scale to be the best global network for local payments.”

Leila Kassner, newly appointed COO at Boku added: “After over 11 years at Boku, I am excited to step into the role of Chief Operating Officer. With over a decade of deep insight into the business, I am well positioned to make strategic, data-driven decisions that will help drive our continued growth. As COO, my focus will be on advancing our transformation by optimising operations, enhancing efficiency, and empowering teams to deliver exceptional value to our growing, global customer base. Having had the privilege of managing the global partnerships team and consistently delivering outstanding results for our customers, I look forward to contributing to Boku’s next chapter in this new capacity.”
