Reporting directly to the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and interpreting upcoming regulations and industry developments to proactively position the organisation for compliance.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ol> <li><strong>Merchant Due Diligence:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Conduct comprehensive due diligence on new and existing merchants to assess their risk profile.</li> <li>Analyse merchant documentation, financial statements, and business operations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.</li> <li>Evaluate merchant backgrounds, ownership structures, and transaction patterns to identify potential risks or anomalies.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Sanctions Checks:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Execute sanctions screening processes to verify merchant entities and individuals against relevant sanctions lists.</li> <li>Utilize automated screening tools and databases to conduct thorough sanctions checks.</li> <li>Investigate and escalate any potential matches or discrepancies identified during sanctions screening.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Ongoing Compliance Queries:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Serve as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding compliance-related inquiries.</li> <li>Respond promptly and effectively to compliance queries from various departments within the organization.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Regulatory Compliance:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Stay abreast of regulatory developments and changes in the financial industry pertaining to merchant due diligence and sanctions screening.</li> <li>Interpret and apply regulatory requirements to the company's operations, policies, and procedures.</li> <li>Assist in the development and enhancement of compliance frameworks and controls to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Documentation and Reporting:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate records of due diligence activities, sanctions checks, and compliance queries.</li> <li>Prepare comprehensive reports documenting compliance findings, trends, and recommendations for management review.</li> <li>Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and audits related to merchant due diligence and sanctions compliance.</li> </ul> </ol> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 4+ years of experience in regulatory compliance within the financial services industry, with a focus on Operation Compliance.</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of the regulatory environment for payment institutions and relevant international regulations.</li> <li>Strong understanding of payment systems and other compliance-related functions.</li> <li>Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.</li> <li>Comprehensive healthcare and retirement benefits.</li> <li>Professional development opportunities and ongoing training.</li> <li>Dynamic and collaborative work environment.</li> <li>Opportunity to make a significant impact within a growing organisation.</li> </ul> <p> </p>
